FESTIVAL POLICIES
Since our Festival takes place in many different venues and spaces, spread out across two counties, please use common sense safety practices that are appropriate to where you are. Here are some guidelines to help ensure that we can all safely enjoy the celebration.
COVID-19 The Forest Moon Festival will comply with all state and local requirements.
Code of Conduct Attendees must respect commonsense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Harassing or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
Costume Props Policy Absolutely No functional props or weapons are allowed at any Forest Moon Festival event. Simulated or costume weapons that resemble any type of firearm, bow and arrow, or any weapon that is illegal in California are not allowed in public spaces or public events by attendees.
The Costume Props Policy is subject to change. Please be sure to continue to check this website closer to the event to ensure your costume props comply with the current Costume Props Policy.
No Handouts No distribution of any materials—including flyers, stickers, cards, or any promotional items at Festival events.
Photo and video release Each Festival attendee assigns to The Film Commission all his/her/its rights to images, likenesses, or videos taken or obtained during the festival, and each participant waives all his/her/its claims to compensation from all such images, likenesses, or videos.
The Forest Moon Festival reserves the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice.

- Toy or Costume props that are clearly not real weapons (ie. plastic lightsaber) should be OK, but will be left to the discretion of event operators, security personnel, and law enforcement. You may be asked to leave such items in your car.
- Projectile costume props must be rendered inoperable.
- At certain times, due to crowd conditions and safety issues, people in oversized costumes may be asked to remove their costume in an event or area.
